Review on: NYX dark circle concealer

Dark circle is a common problem for girls around the world. We often struggle with it while trying to have a perfect made up look overall. So,the search for a perfect dark circle concealer seems like a never ending matter. Recently, while browsing for budget friendly concealers, I came across NYX Dark Circle Concealer at Drugstore. So I placed an order for the concealer in “Fair” shade.

Packaging: the concealer comes in a clear pot with a black colored twist cap.

Color: the swatch of the product looks light orange in color. However, when blended in skin, it looks natural, just like the skin color.

My experience:

Before I started using the concealer, I thought that I’d use it occasionally. But, after using it on my dark circle consecutively for 5-6 days, now I prefer it so much that it has become a daily used concealer for me. The reason why I prefer using this concealer is, it blends in the dark circle area just as the skin color and does not leave any white cast around the eye area like a lot of concealers do. The orange pigments of the concealer neutralizes the bluish undertone of the dark circles and gives a natural look around the eye area while covering the dark circles with a brightening effect.

Application: I generally apply it with my finger only, in a “v” shape under my eyes and blend it well using fingers. Then I set it with a loose powder so that it doesn’t budge throughout the day. Always remember that, while applying concealers around the eyes, it should be applied in “v” shape, in that way, the application of concealer looks more natural.

Pros:

1. Neutralizes the dark circle area very well

2.  Brightens up the under eye area without leaving any white cast

3.  Inexpensive, within budget. You can easily order via any online page.

4.  Stays put all day.

5.  Comes in a small pot, so you can easily carry it around.

Cons:

1. The shade I’m using, is only for fair to light skinned toned girls, which means it will be too light for the girls having medium to dark skin tones.

Overall verdict: I think the concealer is becoming my holy grail concealer in concealing the dark circle area around my eyes.  The concealer comes in two shades “light” and “Fair” , so you can give it a try according to your skin tone.

Your feedback is appreciated.
