Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip Molly Review

So, Colourpop has been on the buzz very recently. seeing the craze, I also decided to buy two shades of this brand in different formulas, to decide if the products are worth the hype!

Today I’ll do a review on Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in the shade “Molly”.

About the Shade: Molly is a very cute lavender color. those who like pink colors or purple-ish hues, will surely love this color. While not being a very versatile shade, can be carried by specially from Fair to Medium.

the packaging : The packaging is just the same as other Colourpop Liquid Lipsticks. Molly comes in a transparent plastic tube , with a silver colored screw cap. The packaging is very cute, for an affordable brand.

lets come to the usage:

how I apply it: this liquid lipstick has a doe foot applicator. the applicator makes it very easy to go with the application. I start applying it from the center of my lips and then work all the way through. after finishing of the application, I keep the upper and lower lips separated for 1 minute or so, to let the liquid lipstick set on nicely.

its better to apply a lip liner while you are wearing a  liquid lipstick.

my experience: the lipstick transfers a little bit (on coffee mugs, or if you place your finger on your lips..etc). for me, it kept transferring a bit for 3+ hours. but it didn’t totally wear off or disappear, I mean, it seemed like the whole color was there on the lips. there was no sign on the lip color on the lips that it was transferring.

the liquid lipstick neither set dryly on the lips nor show  any lines on the lips, even after 7+ hours of use. this is a great advantage of the formula I think.

overall verdict, I think, for the price range, the ultra satin formula of colorpop is a great lip product.

So, Summing up the review with Pros & Cons:

Pros:
* affordable, easily applicable.
* “Polly” is a great shade for fair to medium skin tones.
* a great shade for spring-summer time and for office use too.
* stays all day even with eating and drinking.
* transfers little by little , but the transfer doesn’t leave aby sign on the lips.

Cons:
* It transfers, Colourpop could work on it.
* takes time to dry, after applying.
