Maybe everyone already know about this scrub. Still, my likeness for this scrub compelled me to do a review on this. so lets take a quick look at how the Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky clean scrub is !
Packaging: As you can see in the picture above, the packaging is a sturdy one. its a mixture of green and white, like the other product packaging from the tea tree line of The Body Shop. below picture shows the packaging.
the scrub is light green in color and has bids in it. when applied or rubbed on the skin, the bids are not harsh or strong, they are very skin friendly and while messaged, it seems that the bids are doing the job of cleansing the face in a “squeaky” way!
Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Lauryl Betaine, Acrylates Copolymer, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Propanediol, Perlite, Phenoxyethanol, Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil/Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Mannitol, Sodium Chloride, p-Anisic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Cellulose, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Acacia Concinna Fruit Extract, Balanites Aegyptiaca Fruit Extract, Menthol, Disodium EDTA, Gypsophila Paniculata Root Extract, Limonene, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Sorbic Acid, Leptospermum Petersonii Oil, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Tocopherol, CI 19140/Yellow 5, CI 42090/Blue 1.
below the the picture of how the product looks outside the tube:
The Scrub is green, with white bids on it.
The scrub is spread onto the skin
Usage: I use the product 2-3 times a week. basically, scrubbing the skin everyday isn’t recommended. it results it dry skin, breakout, rashes, redness. One should use scrubs 2 days apart or even 3 days apart, based on skin conditions.
How To: you can easily follow the direction written in the tube. when I use it, I simply use a oil based cleanser first. the cleanser dissolves the makeup and grimes. then I use a face wash to gently cleanse my skin. after that, I use this scrub to gently rub away any dead-cells, makeup buildups or temporary dry patches. Then I wash my face with a lot of water to properly clean away the product. after that, the face looks very radiant, glow-y, fresh, and my skin gives a really squeaky clean feel.
so, if I some up, the scrub has the benefits of:
1. regulating the oil balance in skin, balances oil in t-zone too!
2. sloughing off the dead cells.
3. regular use makes skin clearer, less blemish-prone
4. makes skin brighter
5. immediate effect : shrinks the pores
6. fresh, clean feeling
7. refreshing smell really wakes up the mind
For me, its a must-have budget scrub for oily to combination skin!
